Keith Brownsey has taught political science at Mount Royal College in Calgary for over 15 years. He received a PhD. From Queen’s University in Political Studies. Brownsey’s academic interests include Alberta and Canadian politics and the politics of oil and gas as well as related environmental issues. His publications include works on the Ontario Conservative Party, oil and gas politics, the history of health policy and Alberta politics. Brownsey is a frequent media commentator on regional as well as national issues related to Canadian and Alberta political life. He is married with three children and a dog. He often wonders why he lives in such a cold place.
