Julie-Anne has a background in Anthropology from McGill University and graduate degrees in Archaeology from the University of Calgary. She has worked on archaeological projects in North and South America, with special emphasis on ceramics and funerary practices for her PhD. At MRU, Julie-Anne helps manage the anthropology teaching and research labs but also collaborates with instructors on various administrative and instructional tasks. Starting in Fall 2014, Julie-Anne also became program advisor for Anthropology, working with students primarily on academic questions such as program planning, student status, grad school applications, and course options among others. Julie-Anne will be on leave as of February 2015 and back in the Fall.
