Who's Frank 3 Continues the Fight Against Bullying

In early December 2015, students and teachers from Cochrane and Bishop Carroll High Schools met at Mount Royal University to plan the 3rd edition of the incredibly impactful Who’s Frank initiative to combat bullying. This will take place in February 2016 at Cochrane High School.

Conceived and developed by Faculty of Arts professors Natalie Badenduck and Paula Dozois of the Department of Interior Design and Jane Drover and Natalie Meisner of the Department of English, Languages, and Cultures (recipients of the 2014 MRU effective team award), this initiative has brought internationally known experts such as Barbara Coloroso to speak to thousands of Calgary high school students and has garnered extensive newspaper and TV news coverage, including on CBC and in the Calgary Herald. The keynote speaker for this year event is author Maureen Ulrich, who will also be an MRU Writer in Residence. Additionally, for 2016, Who’s Frank will involve the MRU community to a greater extent. A panel discussion on the cultures of bullying related to sexuality and sexual violence will be hosted involving faculty members Gaye Warthe and Scharie Tavcer, students, and participants from outside of Mount Royal.Whos Frank Image
