Yvonne Trainer has published one chapbook and four books of poetry. She is a Full-Member of the League of Canadian Poets and an Associate Member of the Academy of American Poets. Her interest areas include composition, creative writing, Canadian literature, contemporary literature, American and Canadian poetry, and medicine in literature. Receiving her doctorate from the University of Manitoba, she did much of the research at the Institute for the Medical Humanities in Galveston, University of Texas Medical Branch.
