Sharren Patterson has taught in the Department of English at Mount Royal since the fall of 1990. She also works in the Department of Language and Literature as a tutor for Athabasca University. Her academic interests include rhetoric, grammar, composition, reader-response theory, film, and dramatic literature. Through her years at Mount Royal, Sharren has taught introductory and intermediate composition, and every so often, she teaches introductory courses in fiction and dramatic literature. Sharren’s teaching philosophy is centered on her students’ needs.
