Dr. Derya Kahraman joined the Bissett School of Business in August 2009. For ten years, she has taught a variety of finance courses as a full-time faculty member at Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey. She has had interest in conducting research on financial performance of for-profits as well as not-for-profits. She was a visiting scholar at the Institute for Nonprofit Studies, the Bissett School of Business in the summer of 2008 with a postdoctoral research grant from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
Derya Kahraman received her DBA in finance from Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey,
in 2006. She did her MBA in finance at Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA, on a full scholarship from the Council of Higher Education of Turkey.
