Carlton has six years of part-time consulting experience, in which he provided a wide range of services, from cost-of-capital determination to executive compensation analysis and valuation, two years full-time with A.C. McPherson, where he conducted fundamental analysis on a variety of companies, and two years full-time with Kano State Water Works Challawa, as an on-site supervisory engineer. He has eight years experience as a full-time post-secondary faculty member including seven years at the University of Calgary, and one year at the University of Toronto, and more recently as a part-time faculty member in the Bissett School of Business during the Winter 2007 semester
