Dave MacPherson holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary in addition to a CA designation. Since 1985 he has taught accounting courses at Mount Royal. He was also the coach of the Mount Royal Cougars Men's golf team between 1995 and 2002. In 2001, this team was the current Alberta champion and ranked second in the country.
