Education: He completed his Bachelor of Physical Education at the University of Calgary in 1972 and was certified as an Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) in Canada in 1978. He then went on to complete a Master’s of Science degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training from Brigham Young University in 1977.
Current Work: Dexter is a tenured faculty member and teaches in the Advanced Certificate of Athletic Therapy Program at Mount Royal College.
Instructor Profile: Dexter worked as the Head Athletic Therapist with the Canadian National Men’s Basketball Team (1971-1975), the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club of the Canadian Football League (1974), Head Athletic Therapist and Instructor at the University of Calgary (1975-1983) and started the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team in 1983.
Community Service/Research:
Dexter continues to work as an Athletic Therapist with Pro Rodeo in Canada and currently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Society.
