Dianne has been a full-time instructor in the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal since 1987. She holds a Masters of Business Administration degree (Marketing) from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan .
Dianne has been nominated for a Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award and received a Teaching Excellence award from the Mount Royal Student Association in 1992. While teaching marketing, Dianne was actively involved with the marketing community in Calgary. She served on the executive of the local chapter of the American Marketing Association, including a term as president in 1992. From 1999 to 2002, Dianne served as program chair for the Business and Entrepreneurship degree and the University Transfer programs. In 2003, Dianne completed the course work for the Diploma in International Trade from the Forum for International Trade Training and received her Certified International Trade Professional (C.I.T.P.) designation.
Dianne's teaching interests include international trade research, global entrepreneurship, international marketing and professional selling. Prior to joining Mount Royal, Dianne worked as a consultant for the Swedish Trade Office in both Toronto and Calgary and was involved in a family-owned importing and distribution company. In her current position, she is involved with student internships and international exchanges as well as curriculum development in International Business.
Dianne is currently seconded part-time to the Academic Development Centre as a curriculum development Consultant working with the integration of program and course outcomes into the Mount Royal curriculum.
