Jamal has a rich background in accounting experience (including senior accounting experience with international companies over several years) as well as post-secondary education (research and teaching). He holds a BA (Accounting) with distinction from Ferdowski University of Mashad, a MA Masters (Accounting) with distinction from the University of Tehran, looks to complete his CGA in December 2007, and anticipates celebrating earning his PhD in Accounting from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary in 2008. He already has an impressive list of publications and research work, but his current research is entitled: An investigation of the relationship between components of intellectual capital and a firm’s financial performance. During the past three years while working on his PhD at the University of Calgary, Jamal has taught in the accounting area in undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Calgary. In addition, he has taught accounting courses at Mount Royal College.
