Lloyd Ash joined the Bissett School of Business in 2004 as an Instructor in Applied International Business and Supply Chain Management. He has served as program advisor to students and has developed curriculum materials and taught courses in Logistics and Physical Distribution, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Operations Management and e-Business Execution.
Before joining Mount Royal, he managed the consulting business unit of Trimac Corporation where he provided services to industrial and government sector clients in truck costing and benchmarking, process mapping and optimization, fleet management, freight logistics, transportation planning and related management information systems.
Professionally, Lloyd has been active with a number of industry associations and committees including: Canadian Transportation Research Forum, Calgary Chamber of Commerce Logistics Committee, Mount Royal College Supply Chain Management Advisory Committee, Careers In Logistics, participation on the Advisory / Planning Committee of the Van Horne Institute, and serving on the Mount Royal College Academic Disqualification Appeals Committee.
He maintains a professional consulting practice that has provided advisory services on transportation matters to the British Columbia Milk Marketing Board, the British Columbia Department of Highways and Transportation, the Federal Department of Indian and Northern Affairs (Yellowknife), and Transport Canada.
Prior to his tenure at Trimac, Lloyd was previously employed by Transport Canada (Airports), the City of Calgary (Long-Range Highway Design), Parks Canada (Surveying) and the National Research Council (Structural Research).
