This series of courses offer the principles of financial services in a variety of financial planning positions which students can apply to banking, investment and insurance.

Professional credentials

In completion of all courses, students are prepared to write the examinations leading to the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation. And in addition, students are encouraged to begin work on their CFA® designation in their final year - a widely respected international credential.

You may be employed by a bank, insurance agency, brokerage or investment firm and your job title could be:

  • Financial planner — help clients manage their money so present and future financial needs are met
  • Investment banker — help large- and mid-sized companies raise investment capital, arrange and structure deals
  • Mutual fund broker — provide investment advice to clients, ensuring they have the best mutual fund products for their needs
  • Investment adviser — buy and sell different types of investments, including mutual funds, bonds and term deposits, according to their clients’ needs
  • Account manager — work one-on-one with clients to help them secure loans and manage their portfolios
  • Other titles include: Associate broker, compliance officer, insurance agent, personal banking officer or securities trader.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) prepares you for Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs as well as other graduate studies.
