  • Recruiter — Write and review job descriptions, conduct interviews and hire individuals to fill positions within an organization.
  • Human resources specialist — manage all aspects of building a fulfilled and productive workforce, including hiring, training, benefits and compensation.
  • Payroll coordinator — support the payroll process by checking time sheets, processing deductions, tracking benefits and more.

Industry recognition

Mount Royal's courses are recognized by several professional bodies, including the Human Resources Association of Calgary, the Human Resources Institute of Alberta, the Certified Benefits Specialist Association and the Canadian Compensation Association.

Professional Designation

As of January 1, 2011, CHRP Candidates – those who have passed the National Knowledge Exam® (NKE) – will require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in order to register for the National Professional Practice Assessment® (NPPA) and qualify for the CHRP designation. Build on your diploma
