With opportunities in media relations, special events, corporate communications, community relations and much more, the four-year Bachelor of Applied Communications — Public Relations program prepares you for a diverse and rewarding career.
Our faculty of skilled instructors come from a wide range of professional communication backgrounds, each bringing their own unique experience to the classroom.
Your education extends beyond the classroom
By being involved with the other disciplines — journalism, broadcasting, electronic publishing and technical communications — you learn to collaborate with key members of the college community and media, a skill that is essential to the success of public relations professionals.
A curriculum focused both on theory and practical experience requires you to go beyond the classroom to work in a PR setting. In the latter half of the program, you gain valuable experience with two, four-month, paid work terms (Directed Field Studies).
