The need to convey technical information through print and electronic media exists in virtually every industry, creating a huge demand for technical communicators in our continually evolving world.
Offering a four-year Bachelor of Applied Communications, Mount Royal’s Faculty of Communication Studies leads the way in technical communication training nation-wide.
Your education extends beyond the classroom
Using the most recent versions of industry-standard software, you learn to research, organize, write and edit information, design documents that visually convey information clearly, and manage the production of online, paper and multimedia documents.
Throughout the program, you build a comprehensive portfolio of work that is showcased at a special event before graduation. This portfolio is an essential part of the curriculum, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and achievements to potential employers.
The Bachelor of Applied Communications requires you to complete two, four-month work terms (Directed Field Studies) where you apply your learning in a real job setting.
