As a passionate and committed professional to early childhood, my particular interests include principles of development, curriculum planning, guidance, responsive early learning environments, learning through play, outdoor and risky play, and physical literacy. Observing and interacting with children as they wonder, explore, and discover the world and their interests is exciting and engaging. I love sharing this journey of learning with Bachelor of Child Studies students.

My teaching experience includes being an owner and director of a preschool and daycare program, teaching in the primary grades and 20+ years of post-secondary teaching. I have been a member of numerous committees and advisory councils related to early childhood and have presented at local, provincial, national, and international conferences. I have served as a mentor, consultant, pedagogical leader, and partner in various early childhood related contexts.
