Jocelyn joined the School of Nursing at Mount Royal College in 2005. Jocelyn has worked in undergraduate nursing education in Calgary since 1995 for several nursing programs. Jocelyn has an undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary and a graduate degree in Nursing Education from the University of Western Ontario. Jocelyn’s clinical experience includes a background in the acute care setting caring for families with infants and children, clinical education in Neonatal Intensive Care and most recently public health nursing with the postpartum community health team in the Calgary Health Region. The highlights of Jocelyn’s career as an educator include working with first year students and the development and delivery of child health and family courses with third year students. Jocelyn’s professional interests include the use of case studies in nursing education, teaching strategies in undergraduate nursing education and the experience of transition for individuals and families.
