Shelley Jeske

Shelley is the manager of the bustling Nursing Practice Skills Labs. In the next year, she will be undertaking the design, project management, and programming for the future School of Nursing Simulation Centre at Mount Royal.

Following the completion of her baccalaureate degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Shelley moved to Calgary where she commenced her nursing career as a Staff Nurse within Cardiac Sciences and ICU. For the past 15 years, she has been Clinical Nurse Educator in areas including CV-ICU and the Post Anesthetic Care Unit. In addition to the many roles and responsibilities of the educator in practice, Shelley was instrumental in the development and implementation of the post graduate Calgary Health Region PACU Nursing program.

Shelley recently completed her graduate degree through the University of Calgary with a focus on Simulation Education and commenced her work in this area while on faculty at the University of Calgary. Simulation pedagogy is a passion for Shelley. She looks forward to sharing her love and knowledge of this approach to health care education and anticipates its great success as it transforms the field of nursing education.
