Institutes play a unique role at Mount Royal — their work benefits students, faculty, industry partners and the community. Institutes are centres of research which allow professionals and students to engage together in scholarship activities. This research enriches the learning experience, and the important work is contributed back into our community.

The Integrative Health Institute at Mount Royal supports and promotes initiatives that require interdisciplinary work, thus enabling strategic alliances between Mount Royal and industry sectors. To achieve their goals, institutes rely on internal experts — faculty, staff, students and contractors representing various disciplines — as well as a diverse range of external partners, all with the skills and drive to address industry needs and help build capacity.

Set within the Mount Royal structure, the Integrative Health Institute has access to the brightest and most curious minds — faculty, staff and students dedicated to the pursuit of answers.

Our goal

Create a $6.5 million endowment fund to advance applied integrative health research and education.
