Local students

Local students are Canadian citizens, permanent residents (landed immigrants) or convention refugees.

English Language programs
The Languages Institute at Mount Royal provides comprehensive language instruction in a supportive atmosphere. We help learners to deal successfully with future academic, personal, cultural and/or professional interactions. Full-time program
Improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Full-time English Language Programs are for students who want to study full-time during the day.  All full-time English Language Program classes are held at the Lincoln Park Campus (4825 Mount Royal Gate SW). Information on admission requirements, schedule, government funding options, fees and registration process.

Part-time program
Study English as a Second Language and TOEFL® test preparation courses part-time. These part-time classes are for students who want to study in the afternoon, evenings and weekends.

Applying for conditional admission
Conditional admission means that we will reserve a place for you in the full-time credit program (some restrictions apply).
