International students — How to apply

Admission requirements, and application information

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• If you are under 18 years of age and have finished high school, you must have a legal custodian in Calgary. Contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada for details. We will not process your application until we have received the proper custodian documents and original high school transcripts.

 We advise students to apply before the deadline to allow time to apply for a study permit, passport and make travel plans. Students who apply after the deadline may not receive their study permit before classes begin. If you wish to have one of the Languages Institute's agents assist you in the application process, please contact our office for referral information for your area.

Health insurance
Health insurance is mandatory for all international students in the full-time English Language program. The cost of insurance is CDN$200. The insurance covers the full three-month term and two weeks of additional coverage before and after each term. More information >>

Wire transfers
Student paying by wire transfer please add CDN$25 for bank charges.

Application Information
Complete the application forms. Full tuition payment must be included (payment options are listed on the application form). When payment is received we will mail you a letter of acceptance.

New students must write a placement test the week before classes begin.
