Real world experience
The work term component is one of the strengths of the degree program in Computer Information Systems and will be an exciting and challenging part of your education. All students take one non-credit work experience term. This four-month, employer-paid opportunity will allow you to make industry contacts and enable you to apply classroom theory on the job. There is an option for an additional work term to be taken later in the program.
Cooperative work experience
Alternatively, the student may opt to participate in the full cooperative program which entails three work terms and requires that the student finish his or her studies on an academic term. Doing so will lead to a “Cooperative” designation on the degree parchment. For more information on the cooperative work experience program please consult the department.
Getting the right opportunity
