Instructional Design (ID) Team

The major focus of the Instructional Design team is working with faculty to develop online eLearning projects. We guide the process of developing course content into fully functioning websites. The online learning environment is markedly different from the face-to-face classroom, and our team of instructional design consultants, graphic designer/web developer, and editor use sound pedagogical and design practices to maximize the effectiveness of the online format. 

Throughout the academic year, the Instructional Design team presents information about the effective use of technology for teaching and learning through workshops, user groups, and one-on-one consultation. We also run The Garage, a summer-long program that matches a faculty member with a qualified student who will support the creation, completion, or renewal of course (or instruction) related technology projects.
