Music & Movement: Ages 3-4

A unique program combining music and movement for children ages 3 to 4, based on the ideas developed by educator and musician Emile Jaques-Dalcroze. Music & Movement (Eurhythmics) combines imaginative play, musical games, singing and instrument playing. Instruments and equipment such as Orff instruments, xylophones, glockenspiels, hand drums, rhythm sticks, balls, hoops and scarves are used extensively and are an invaluable part of the class.

Creative movement is an important aspect of the program, and the child develops co-ordination, concentration and self-confidence while learning fundamentals of music and music notion. This program provides a sound basis for children who wish to continue the study of music or dance.

Class Information & Registration
All classes are 'parented classes', i.e. parents are in attendance, are 45 minutes long and are held once a week. Classes are available in either the Fall or Winter semesters.
(Fall Semester: Sept. - Jan., 17 classes; Winter Semester: Feb. - June, 17 classes)

Students accepted into our Music & Movement classes must have reached their third birthday before September 1.

Fee: $304 per semester.

Registration
Registration for Fall 2011 classes for existing students and siblings: May 12, 2011, then ongoing.

Registration for new students commences May 24,  2011.
