Anita has enjoyed a varied career as an elementary music specialist, choral conductor, sessional instructor and workshop clinician. Anita has advanced certificates in both the Kodály and Orff philosophies, studied at the Kodály Institute in Kecskemet, Hungary and completed a Master of Education (music education) from the University of Alberta.
In addition to teaching with the Conservatory, Anita directs the Green and Mixed Choirs of Westwinds, teaches music education courses at the University of Alberta and serves as president of the Alberta Kodály Association. Anita feels privileged to work with young children. Their honesty and spontaneity to move and sing inspires her every day to laugh more, play more, sing more... and stop being so serious
