Leon began singing as a young child and toured Europe with the renowned Amadeus Children’s Choir. He grew up singing gospel music and in 2005 completed a Bachelor of Music Performance in Opera from the University of Victoria. He has performed with Calgary Opera where he debuted as Giuseppe in La Traviatta in 2003. Even though he is a classically trained tenor, he uses his unique range to sing gospel, pop and R&B music in a variety of venues.

Leon joined The Canadian Tenors in 2005. After a two year stint with the Tenors he formed pop-opera band Destino. With Destino he recorded various albums, travelled internationally. Notably Destino performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Miss America 2008 in Las Vegas, and opened for the Canadian tour of the Rankin Family. He is currently living in Calgary, AB with his wife Alison and two daughters Aria and Poet.
