Ariel Gonzalez holds a University Degree in Piano Performance and Chamber Music from the Higher Institute of Art of Havana, Cuba; as well as a Master's Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Calgary where he studied under the guidance of Professor Charles Foreman. He has received several awards in numerous piano competitions in his native country Cuba, and has performed as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles in Cuba, Italy, Switzerland and Canada. He has been part of the music staff at Mount Royal Conservatory since 2001.
