Donna Turk

Strings Faculty

Donna lives and teaches in Calgary, Alberta. As a young violinist she was a student of the Academy of Music at Mount Royal College and played with the Calgary Youth Orchestra. She was also a member of the world renowned Calgary Fiddlers and this is where her love for fiddling began.

Donna has been teaching both fiddling and classical violin for 20 years. Since 1997, she has been the Artistic Director of the Bow Valley Fiddlers, which is the educational program of the Calgary Fiddlers Association. There are currently five groups of Bow Valley Fiddlers ranging in age from 8-18.

Donna’s love of teaching and working with both children and adults are being recognized nationally and she teaches at workshops across Western Canada and NWT. She is so happy to be working with the conservatory and starting an adult fiddle class.
