Academy Vocal Program
A comprehensive, non-credit training program for singers aged 13 to 19 years who exhibit a sincere desire and the vocal talent to become a classical singer. The student must have a private voice teacher and must not be enrolled in a post secondary voice program. Admission will be by audition in May of each year. Please see our Audition page.
The Vocal Academy is a supplement to private voice lessons, focusing on the educational needs of the developing singer and offering large and small ensemble performing experience. Singing in monthly recitals is required and lectures pertaining to the study of classical voice are part of this program. Instruction will include sight singing and ear training, the international phonetic alphabet, diction, stage movement and character development.
Choral Ensembles
Participation in one of the Conservatory choral ensembles is optional. Scholarships for choir will be provided to singers who are accepted into the Vocal Program.
