Vocal Jazz Ensemble

Develop your sense of blend, balance and intonation in an enjoyable atmosphere. Singing in our Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a unique way to use your vocal skills. Perhaps you have participated in a similar style of ensemble before, or you are looking for a new and exciting way to sing in a group.

Under director Colin Haydu, Mount Royal’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble will blend development of skills in singing jazz harmony with exposure to many styles of popular and jazz music.

WHO: Adults, ranging from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned vocalists.

WHAT: Weekly rehearsals and practice, including vocal exercises, exposure to a variety of popular and jazz music, and performance opportunities.
