CONS Hal and Marnie Wyatt portraitIn music, as in other disciplines, artists often point to an educational encounter or life-changing performance by a great artist as the inspiration for their commitment to a life in the performing arts. The Wyatt Artist-in-Residence Program strives to provide our Academy students with those transformational experiences by bringing to the Mount Royal University Conservatory the best mentors and performers from around the world, thus connecting today's emerging talents with the greatest artists of our time.

Since its inception, the Wyatt Artist-in-Residence Program has afforded our students the opportunity to hear and study with an incredible array of true international stars in intimate masterclass settings.

Past Wyatt Artists include The Assad Brothers, Russell Braun, Jeremy Denk, James Ehnes, Lynn Harrell, Frans Helmerson, Igudesman and Joo, Gabriela Montero, Yuja Wang, to name a few.
