Mount Royal Conservatory offers quality performing arts instruction year-round. Summer programs for children, teens and adults keep your passion for performance alive!

5-9 MusicMakers! Beginners   A summer camp that gives your child an opportunity to explore all areas of the performing arts under the direction of stellar faculty.
7-18 Calgary Piano Institute Junior,
Senior and
  An intensive one-week program with four levels tailored to Junior to Advanced piano students (RCM Grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 & 10+).
13+ Summer Jazz Workshop Intermediate Aug. 8-12 Enhance understanding and appreciation of jazz styles, practices and history. Geared for students of piano, bass, guitar, drums, trombone, trumpet and saxophone.
13+ Classical GuitarFest West Intermediate Aug. 8-12 Focuses on developing solo performance skills through private lessons and daily open masterclasses with some of North America's finest classical guitar teachers and performers.
15+ Drumset Educational Camp with Tyler Hornby Intermediate   Excellent instruction to high school, college and adult level students, aspiring to enhance their abilities on the drumset. An intensive yet fun atmosphere in a masterclass setting, allowing participants to go at their own pace.
16+ Blues Guitar Workshop with Ralf Buschmeyer Intermediate Aug. 15-19  Learn chord construction, rhythm styles, jazz-blues concepts and sound with one of the city's most prominent blues & jazz guitarists.
17-24 Cowtown Opera Summer Academy Junior,
Advanced sections
  Intensive short-term studies for singing students 18+ who wish to learn more about opera, art song, stagecraft and vocal health. Junior program for young singers ages 12-15 and intermediate program for ages 15-18.
40+ Sing! Adult Summer Class Beginners   Foster the joy of singing by developing basic musical skills (rhythm, melodic memory), basic vocal technique and choral skills (breathing, pitch matching, two- and three-part harmony), repertoire of songs, and learn the basics of reading music.
5-20 Suzuki Summer Institute Piano, Guitar, Trumpet and Teen programs Aug. 8-12 Teachers, parents and children are immersed in an environment of listening, performing, observing and being challenged with new ideas, based on the Suzuki Method.
18+      Suzuki Summer Institute - Teacher Development
Advanced Aug. 5-13 A Suzuki Association of the America's program, which features unit courses as part of the overall Teacher Training program.
