5-9 MusicMakers! Beginners   A summer camp that gives your child an opportunity to explore all areas of the performing arts under the direction of stellar faculty.
7-18 Calgary Piano Institute Junior,
Senior and
Aug. 28 - Sept. 1 An intensive one-week program with four levels tailored to Junior to Advanced piano students (RCM Grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 & 10+).
13+ Summer Jazz Workshop Intermediate July 3 - 8 Enhance understanding and appreciation of jazz styles, practices and history. Geared for students of piano, bass, guitar, drums, trombone, trumpet and saxophone.
13+ Classical GuitarFest West Intermediate Aug. 7 - 11 Focuses on developing solo performance skills through private lessons and daily open masterclasses with some of North America's finest classical guitar teachers and performers.
15+ Drumset Educational Camp with Tyler Hornby Intermediate Aug. 14 - 18 Excellent instruction to high school, college and adult level students, aspiring to enhance their abilities on the drumset. An intensive yet fun atmosphere in a masterclass setting, allowing participants to go at their own pace.
16+ Blues Guitar Workshop  Intermediate Aug. 14 - 18 Learn chord construction, rhythm styles, jazz-blues concepts and sound with one of the city's most prominent blues & jazz guitarists. - Not offered in 2017
17-24 Cowtown Opera Summer Academy Junior,
Advanced sections
Aug. 10 - 19 Intensive short-term studies for singing students 18+ who wish to learn more about opera, art song, stagecraft and vocal health. Junior program for ages 12-18 for talented young singers interested in musical theatre and light opera
5-20 Suzuki Summer Institute Piano, Guitar, Trumpet and Teen programs Next Institute is in 2018 Teachers, parents and children are immersed in an environment of listening, performing, observing and being challenged with new ideas, based on the Suzuki Method.

Advanced Next Institute is in 2018 A Suzuki Association of the America's program, which features unit courses as part of the overall Teacher Training program.
18+ Pedagogy of Harmony Advanced

July 17- 21 or

This course offers teachers of Harmony an approach to teaching that engages the potential "whole" musician in each student - listener, performer, and composer. The teaching of all foundational aspects of the standard Canadian conservatories’ Harmony curriculum, from essential materials to form, will be addressed in this refreshingly realistic context. This course builds upon the established skills of teaching harmony. Its pedagogical support enriches both the teachers’ and the students’ understanding and experience of the curriculum materials.
12-18 Viola Symposium Advanced July 17 - 21, 2017 This five-day symposium is dedicated to exploring viola technique, performance practices, chamber music, solo repertoire and artistry.
