
LEE KUM-SING is Head of the Piano Department at the Vancouver Academy of Music and is Professor of Piano at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He enjoys an international reputation as a performer and as a teacher. Many of his students have been prizewinners in major national and international competitions and are actively concertizing and recording.
For over three decades, Professor Lee has won international acclaim as a soloist and in duos and chamber music. He has been featured with the BBC, Australian and Canadian Broadcasting Corporations, and in other Asian and European radio and television recordings. For many years, Professor Lee has been conducting master classes and has been on faculty at international summer schools in Holland, Poland, France, Belgium, Italy, Japan, Korea, China, the U.S.A. and Canada. He continues to serve as a jury member in international piano competitions, including the prestigious Chopin International Competition in Warsaw and the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition in Brussels, the Esther Honens International Piano Competition in Calgary, the Dublin International Piano Competition and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City.
