School waiver:
A school waiver must be completed by the participant and parents or legal guardian, following confirmation in our program.
Student Behavior:
Students who are accepted to participate in Morningside Music Bridge are representatives of Mount Royal University for the duration of their time in the program. All participants will be expected to observe and respect school rules while attending the Morningside Music Bridge summer program. Students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately and respectfully, and will abide by the rules set forth by the Morningside Music Bridge Office and the program staff.
Failure to uphold the program rules will result in serious consequences for students. Students will be subject to discipline for any conduct which has the effect of negatively impacting the school environment, whether that conduct occurs on or off School property, at a school sponsored function or activity or otherwise. This could include immediate dismissal from the program and being sent back home at their parent's expense (if applicable).
The following is a partial list of behaviors that would be in violation of the Program Rules:
Attendance:
Students are expected to attend and arrive on time for all planned events. The student must contact the office if he/she is unable to participate.
Accommodation:
When staying with a host family, students will be expected to follow accommodation guidelines and rules. The student will be expected to make his/her own bed, help to keep the room tidy, leave the bathroom, shower and toilet clean.
Students are expected to be courteous and respectful guests and must obey all local laws. Illegal drug use or abusive behavior at any age or alcoholic consumption by minor participants will not be tolerated. Smoking is not allowed on campus. Please be considerate of others.
Responsibility:
The school is not liable for the loss of property on the premises. We strongly advise all participants to leave their precious valuables at home. In addition, students should ensure that they have adequate insurance coverage for their instruments.
