Aug. 12 - 17, 2013
Monday - Saturday
A week of ‘guitar immersion’ guaranteed to excite and inspire emerging classical guitar performers and young guitar students. Just the kind of kick start every classical guitarist wants before resuming studies in the fall.
The program focuses on developing solo performance skills through private lessons and daily open masterclasses, preparing the student for a performance at week’s end. Every participant receives three private lessons and 10 hours of class time over the course of the program. Students also have the opportunity to observe faculty members in concert during evening performances throughout the week.
The week’s activities include daily ensemble and/or flamenco rehearsals as well as classes in ‘Technique & Improvisation’. Solo and ensemble pieces will be performed in a public recital on Saturday afternoon.
