Alberta Intercollegiate Model United Nations (AIMUN)
OverviewThe Department of Economics, Justice, and Policy Studies (EJPS) at Mount Royal University and the MRU Model UN Student Club are pleased to host the 22nd Annual Alberta Intercollegiate Model United Nations (AIMUN) March 2-4, 2018 in the Lincoln Park Room (J301) at MRU. The conference will convene post-secondary students from across the province to represent country delegations in a simulated UN General Assembly to discuss this year’s theme of Global Migration.

Please note that registration for the conference has two components:
2. Payment for registration must be done online. The fee is $100.00. This fee covers the cost of conference administration as well as lunch on Saturday, the Saturday evening banquet, and coffee breaks throughout the weekend. Please enter the school your are attending in the "Company" field.
You will not be issued a ticket from this process.

The Grey Eagle Resort has arranged a special conference rate of $145; the hotel has kindly offered this nightly rate for up to quadruple occupancy (no additional room fees for up to four people)! Room rates are also inclusive of a complementary hot buffet breakfast, as well as a free shuttle from the Resort to campus. Please be sure to mention that you belong to the MRU Model UN Conference in order to receive this special rate.
Transportation/parkingAll conference participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements to Calgary. Parking at the hotel is free and a return shuttle bus will be provided by the hotel to transport students to and from campus each conference day (Mar 3 and 4).
For those who prefer to walk, it is a short 5-7 minute walk from the hotel to the MRU campus. Parking on the MRU campus is $16 per day (Saturday) and is free on Sunday. The closest parking lot is Lot 2 by the Westgate Entrance.
Campus Map. MealsThe registration fee covers the cost of lunch and dinner on Saturday, March 3, as well as coffee breaks, with snacks, throughout the conference. Participants with special dietary requests are asked to indicate their requirements on their registration forms, please.

Draft working papersDelegations wishing to submit draft working papers to the Secretariat for the General Assembly’s consideration must do so no later than February 16th. Questions about draft working papers and the final resolutions should be sent to Andrew Yule, Model UN Student Club President.
This year’s theme is Global Migration. Background information will be available in January.
