The heart of Mount Royal is our own community
Mount Royal University is thrilled to personally introduce
The Changing the Face of Education: A Centennial Campaign for Mount Royal University which aims to raise $105 million.
To share the details and plans of the new campaign before it goes public, the Campus Community Campaign — an internal initiative for Mount Royal faculty and staff — will officially kick off March 2.

| Melanie Rogers, manager, donor relations and communications of The Foundation, invites the MRU faculty and staff to the campaign launch March 2. |
Faculty and staff are invited to stop by the Lincoln Park Room, J301 between 1 and 2 p.m. on March 2 to get more information, ask questions and learn how they can be a part of this exciting campaign.
“The belief employees have in Mount Royal will take the University to the next level,” says Melanie Rogers, manager, donor relations and communications of
The Foundation, which will lead this institutional campaign.
“We can all be part of the success and future of Mount Royal University through our participation and engagement in the campaign.”
The campaign makes student success and satisfaction a priority by identifying three areas that need support:
• Learning opportunities through enhancing student scholarships and bursaries ($40 million)
• Learning environment by creating centres of excellence ($30 million)
• Learning spaces such as the expanded health and science facilities and the new Library Learning Centre ($35 million)
Donors will be able to choose where their money goes within these three categories.
What you can do
Employee participation by getting the word out is the main goal of the campus community campaign.
“To have Mount Royal faculty and staff engaged in the campaign will be the biggest success,” says Rogers.
Of course, if people want to donate to the campaign, their gifts — large or small — will be appreciated.
“We would love to see contributions from a large percentage of the Mount Royal campus community,” says Rogers. “Internally, we are hoping for a high participation rate rather than a specific dollar amount raised.”

The March 2 event will also include stories from several MRU employees who are directly involved in the campaign as peer ambassadors.
• Brian Fleming, executive director of Student Affairs and Campus Life
