Events and Conference Services is pleased to offer exclusive in-house catering services designed to meet the needs of any size or type of event.
Whether you require a formal plated dinner or coffee service, our Events and Conference Services team will work with you to select a menu specialized to your needs. Customized menus can also be created by our in-house chef for large-scale events.

Meet Our Chef: Todd Buist
Todd Buist, Executive Chef for Sodexo, Mount Royal University was raised in Southern Ontario where he was exposed to a style of cooking that fused unique, Californian culture and traditional Canadian influences. At the age of 14, Buist decided to use his love of creating food by starting work in a professional kitchen and applied for a job as a prep cook at a restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Buist didn't just like it, he loved it and his career as a professional chef was born.
Within two years, Buist had moved on to The Queens Landing Inn and Conference Center, a 4-diamond hotel with other Executive Chefs taking him on as an apprentice. Buist went on to culinary school at George Brown College and had received his red seal papers by the age of 19. He then moved out west to The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for three years to fine tune his culinary skills beore moving on as a Sous Chef at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and into a position at the Radisson Canmore. With many competition entries and wins to his name, Buist has shown that his continued demand for the highest of standards for his catering events is achieved. We are proud to have Buist as Sodexo's Executive Chef on the Mount Royal University campus.
