Evelyn Brisibe PhD
Evelyn has over 20 years of project management experience with special focus on business improvement, organizational development and change management. She is a certified professional with the Project Management Institute and International Institute of Business Analysis.
Evelyn has a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Change from Walden University and an MBA in Project Management from Athabasca University.
She is an instructor in the Business Process Management, Business Analysis and Lean Management & Continuous Improvement extension certificate programs at MRU.
David is a professional Business Analyst with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas, transportation and communications industries. He began his career as a technical writer and later transitioned into the emerging role of Business Analysis. More recently, David has been working within the business utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
David has been an instructor at Mount Royal in the Business Analysis program since 2011 and sits on the Lean Management Advisory Board. He has a passion for process modeling and facilitation and has recently assisted in development of those materials for the redesigned BA program.
Originally from Trinidad, David grew up and went to school in Calgary and at the University of Ottawa. Prior to his current career, David spent 14 years in the service industry and is an avid student of body language. When David is not working or teaching, he loves to cook and travel with his wife and three daughters.
Ola Ifidon is the Managing Partner, Strategy and Business Solutions at ValCon Inc., a Management and Business Consulting company in Alberta, Canada that specialises in Business Consulting, Training and Outsourcing.
A merit award graduate of Economics, Ola has a combined Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Degrees from Cornell University, USA and Queens University in Canada.
An experienced Business Analyst, Strategist and Management Consultant, Ola is the first Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from the IIBA in Alberta. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Management Professional (CIMP), Ola is driven to deliver meaningful value that matter.
An experienced professional, Ola’s work experience span across various multinational companies including Accenture where she was a senior consultant in the Strategy and Business Architecture service line. An active member of the IIBA, Ola held board positions in the Calgary IIBA chapter and is currently an advisory board member of the chapter. She is also a contributor and co-author of the IIBA "Managing Business Analysts” book; and a featured speaker at IIBA events.
Ola’s delivery approach seeks alignment between business needs and solution with focus on business value. Her passion stems from helping the business identify real needs and deliver solutions that meets these needs.
Her experience delivering business solutions span African & North American markets across various industries including Oil and Gas, Banking, Utilities, Education, NGOs and management consulting.

As an experienced instructor and facilitator with over 20 years providing instructional and consulting services to African, Canadian and US markets, she continues to seek ways to share her knowledge and enhance the practice of Business Analysis to foster strategic and innovative thinking.
A seasoned instructor and sought after facilitator, Ola is experienced both in classroom and virtual deliveries and she combines excellent instructional skills with relevant real life experience to deliver superior value to her clients.
Lyndsay spent the majority of the last decade in the Energy Industry in Calgary. Her specialization lies in operations. She has worked on a range of projects including, custom technological developments, systems design and document management. Her extensive knowledge in these fields gives her a thorough understanding of the various types of analysis that can be conducted in both corporate and small business settings.
Lyndsay spent time in Mongolia where she was in charge of economic development for the South Gobi region. In partnership with the mining giant Rio Tinto. Using extensive current state analysis techniques and requirements gathering sessions she instructed small and medium business owners on the tools needed to support business development that were tailored exclusively to their business needs.
In her most recent engagement, Lyndsay is working as a Senior Business Consultant at Frequency Foundry, a Microsoft Gold Partner with expertise in Dynamics CRM and Portals. Lyndsay works with a variety of customers across industries such as Oil and Gas, Government, Higher Education, and Retail services where she provides Business Analyst functions to many projects.
Natalie Kwadrans is an accomplished leader with a unique track record in strategic planning, business management and capital and operational budgeting.
Natalie is recognized as a leader, coach and “doer”. She is a creative thinker and problem-solver who successfully aligns strategies with overall organizational goals. As the Director, Strategic Initiatives & Communications at Roynat, she is responsible for developing and implementing its strategic initiatives in the areas of sales operations management, client experience and marketing.
Over the course of her career, she has partnered in the development and management of multi-million dollar capital programs (up to $100+ million) to support key strategic initiatives, as well as launched numerous transformational operational initiatives. She has successfully lead teams of 85+.
Her proven track record can be credited to her ability to understand the organization’s needs and the competitive landscape, anticipate and mitigate potential risks and mobilize resources to achieve success.
Adaptive and responsive to changing environments, Natalie has a natural ability to manage complex programs by maximizing the strengths and talents of her team to produce quality results.
Natalie has been teaching part-time at post-secondary institutions since 2006. Having worked at Scotiabank/Roynat, TELUS, Shaw Communications, GE Capital, PwC and Best Buy Canada, she incorporates real industry experience into her classroom.
Raised in an entrepreneurial family, Richard learned to find opportunities, solve problems and implement solutions quickly. Over the course of his career he became a strategist, helping organizations find the road to their success.
His cross-industry experience has made him a proven expert, one who has worked with a big four consulting firm (PricewaterhouseCoopers), top tier corporations, mid-level enterprises, and with small business leaders from around the world.
Richard received Mount Royal University’s Distinguished Teaching Award (2010) for his contribution to the overwhelming success of the business analysis and project management programs within the business community. That same year he was honored to receive a Business Recognition Award for his work with business leaders and entrepreneurs in strategic planning and leadership development.
He is the voice and producer of S.E.T. for Success @680CJOB as part of the Corus Radio Network, where he interviews business leaders and professionals on what it takes to be successful in business. He established the Tuesday Business Tips on the All News Drive from 3 to 5 that same year @680CJOB.

Colin Moreland has been teaching with Mount Royal’s Continuing Education department for over 4 years. His focus is in Business Analysis, Business Process Management and Project Management.
Colin brings to the program a breadth of successful small business experience, having spent the early years of his career as a core member of the 3esi team, a company that was recognized by Deloitte as one of the fastest growing Canadian software companies 3 out of the last 5 years. In that time Colin worked in many management roles including Customer Support, Project Management, Operations Management and ultimately Project Management Office Management.
As part of this role Colin also provided professional consulting services to many Oil and Gas companies in the areas of Business Planning and Corporate Strategy. Some of the success stories he has to share come from EnCana, Chevron, MEG Energy, BP, and Hess Oil. Colin has recently moved on to the University of Lethbridge to start a new PMO in their ITS team.
Colin teaches as a way to give back to the profession and also lectures at a variety of conferences outside of MRU. Colin is an active member of the PMI, IIBA, and the newly formed CUCCIO PPM community of practice (focused on post-secondary Project/Portfolio management).
Dune Nguyen MBA, CMC, PMP®, ISP
Dune has over 24 years’ experience with information technology and business leadership. As a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Project Management Professional (PMP®), Information Systems Professional (ISP) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate, he brings a unique combination of experience and insights to help clients improve their business performance. He is a professional speaker and instructor who teaches business and management courses at post-secondary institutions across Alberta.
Working with clients across North America as a senior consultant, Dune has demonstrated strong leadership, business acumen and expertise in project management, change management and strategic planning at a senior level. Areas of specialization also include business process management (BPM) and COTS software implementation.

Anand Nicodemus B.Eng., CISA, SSBB, CRE, CKP
Anand Nicodemus is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) from Alberta and holds certifications in Lean (Certified Practitioner and Black Belt), Process Re-engineering and Six Sigma (Black Belt) with a keen interest in mission critical processes in public services, health care and aviation.
Anand is privileged to be associated with the Leading Edge Group – primarily focused on the application of Lean practices in Canadian healthcare. He enjoys teaching in the Lean Management, BPM and Business Analysis programs at Mount Royal University, besides working at the City of Calgary's Water Services where he coaches improvement teams in the application of Lean Practices, Kaizen Techniques and the Six Sigma problem solving methodology. His focus so far has been on critical processes related to 311 Trouble Response and water systems repair and maintenance.
Anand takes particular interest in Lean, and emphasizes its potential to benefit society. He has leveraged his rich experience to establish himself as a well-respected practitioner of the art and science of Kaizen Blitz, Hoshin Kanri, application of Little’s Law to transactional environments, One Point Lessons, Kanban, Lean Software Development, VSM for services, Single Piece flow for services, Bucket Brigade and the Milk Run. He also specializes in Preventive Design by the application of CTQ Analysis, QFD, Poke Yoke and FMEA.
Previously, as Head of Operational Excellence for one of the largest government-owned enterprises in the world, Anand set up and operated the Lean Six Sigma based continuous improvement program that spanned 22 business units, engaged 15,000 staff and generated annual recurring benefit in excess of $500 million annually. About $50 million of this was directly generated from the use of Gemba Kaizen Workshops or Kaizen Blitzes, and approximately another $150 million from Hoshin Kanri’s breakthrough objectives.
His experience, particularly in Lean, is diverse – having coached Kaizen Teams in repair operations, banking, insurance, telecom operations, leasing, dry-dock operations, port operations, facility management, high technology and health care. He finds it fascinating to observe different nuances in the event within different countries – Dubai, Ireland and Canada. His most recent Kaizen Events were at hospitals in Ontario and BC. His experience of Process Improvement also extends to oil and gas, transportation, manufacturing, law enforcement, security services, insurance, banking and construction.
Karmen Duncan-Toth ISP., ITIL, CSM, MCTS, MCPS, CPITC, CNS
Karmen is a dedicated, passionate instructor with years of professional experience in entrepreneurial and corporate settings. As an avid life-long learner, entrepreneur and Business Analyst, Karmen has acquired a strong IT background and diverse experience as a contractor, project manager and SAM (Software Asset Management) Specialist with companies such as TransAlta, Compugen, Husky Energy and Devon Canada Corporation.
In 2008, Karmen co-founded and became Director of E-Commerce Operations for Red Mile Technologies, an “e-tailer” specializing in technology products for the SOHO (small office/home office) and SMB (small to medium business) markets. Karmen is currently pursuing professional accreditation as a PMP® (Project Management Professional) and CBAP® (Certified Business Analysis Professional.
Tanya Tucker has over 13 years project management and business improvement experience in the non-profit sector. As a business leader, she has worked with governments, educational institutions, professional associations and more to develop and manage efficient and sustainable labour market solutions.
Tanya holds a Commerce and Sociology degree from the University of Calgary and is
the Vice-Chair of an international standards organization’s technical committee.
She currently runs Clear Eyes Consulting, providing management consulting to small businesses, professional and industry associations, as well as nonprofits.
