Paid Parliamentary Internship Programme

The Parliamentary Internship Programme (PIP) is a ten-month long, non-partisan, full-time, paid internship in Ottawa. Every year, ten university or college graduates have the opportunity to work with two Members of Parliament (one  government and the other opposition) to learn about the work that goes on in the House of Commons. The interns also take part in paid legislative study tours within Canada and abroad.

PIP seeks to create a diverse and inclusive workplace and is especially interested in connecting with Indigenous graduates, new Canadians and any other groups underrepresented in politics and policymaking.

The application system for next year's internship is currently open: https://pip-psp.org/apply/.

The deadline for applications is January 31, 2020.
