Parking in the above lots is complimentary on Sundays and statutory holidays.

Payment Methods
Parking is free for the first 30 minutes (license plates must be registered with HotSpot app) the regular rates will apply, Payment will be contactless using the HotSpot app .
Optional pay terminals will be avaialble for cash payments.
To complete payment through the HotSpot app, please follow the steps below:
Option #1: Download the HotSpot app

Download the HotSpot app from the Apple or Google app store

Follow the prompts to set-up your own personal account and purchase a Hotspot membership ($2.00 plus tax per month or $20.00 plus tax per year)

Add money to your ‘virtual’ HotSpot wallet

Enter the zone number indicated on signs in the parking lot to start paying for parking (note that MRU lot zone numbers will be displayed in Lot 2 and the East Gate parkade as of Aug. 24)

Parking payments will be automatically deducted from your HotSpot ‘virtual’ wallet
*It is highly recommended that you set up a HotSpot account prior to arriving on campus.
Option #2: Use the QR codes or use NFC capability on signs located in the parking lots - Please ensure Apple Pay or Google Pay is enabled for this option

Scan the QR code or simply touch your cellular device to the Fast Tap signs located in the parking lot.

You will be redirected to the HotSpot parking payment page. Note that this is a pay-per-use option and subject to a $0.35 fee per transaction. No membership is required.

Enter the zone number indicated on signs in the parking lot, along with your license plate number and payment information
Option #3: Visit htsp.ca to create an account and make payments

If you do not have a smartphone, visit htsp.ca to create an account and use your desktop to make payments. Note that you will have to purchase a membership to make payments.

Cash Payment Options
All pay terminals accept coins, Visa or Mastercard. You do not need Hotspot to make cash or credit card payments.
Pay terminals are located at the following locations:
- Lot 6A - in front of the Riddell Library and Learning Centre
- Lot 7 - in front of the Mount Royal Conservatory entrance
- Lot A
- P2 lobby in the East Gate Parkade
- Westgate entrance
- Recreation entrance
Parking under 30 minutes is complimentary.
Direction to Campus
From Glenmore Trail westbound
1. Exit right on Richard Road
2. At the second set of traffic lights, the Richard Road and Mount Royal Gate intersection, turn left and drive into campus.
From Glenmore Trail eastbound
1. Exit right at the at 37th Street S.W.
4. At Richardson Way, turn right, then right again at the second set of traffic lights and you will be at our West Entrance.
From Crowchild Trail southbound
1. Exit right at 50th Avenue/Mount Royal Gate and continue right onto Mount Royal Gate.
2. Continue straight at the first set of lights - the Mount Royal Gate and Richard Road intersection - and drive into campus.
From Crowchild Trail northbound
1. Exit right at 50th Avenue/Mount Royal Gate and turn left onto Mount Royal Gate.
2. Continue straight to the Mount Royal Gate and Richard Road intersection; drive into campus
