Deb Steel

Assistive Technology Advisor

I have been happy to work at MRU in a variety of roles since 2007.  My postsecondary education was at Red Deer College where I was part of the first-ever graduating class of the Computer Systems Technology program. I have been an Assistive Technology Advisor with Accessibility Services since 2012 and have enjoyed getting back to my technology roots after raising my family.

I have a post-graduate certificate in Applied Learning Disability Studies – Assistive Technology from Cambridge College in Sudbury, Ontario and I enjoy both the challenges and victories that come from working collaboratively with students to find technology tools to overcome disability-related barriers to learning.
