Built in 1988 as Mount Royal College's Olympic legacy – but currently under renovation – East Residence is comprised of one-, two- and four-bedroom townhouses arranged into triads. The triads are connected by walking paths and surrounded by lush lawns and mature trees.
Each unit is a fully furnished, self-contained living space. You will have a private, lockable bedroom and a bathroom that you'll never share with more than one other person. Each unit also includes a full kitchen and a living room.
A Resident Advisor (RA) lives in every triad, which becomes its own little community within East Residence. RAs are upper-year students there to support you through your Residence experience and organize fun social events.

Walk anywhere on campus within 15 minutes! East Residence is steps away from Mount Royal's Conservatory, East Arts Building and the brand-new Riddell Learning Centre and Library. You will also be close to a doctor's office, dentist's office, a pharmacy, and a food court – all available on campus.
Off-campus, there are nearby grocery stores, restaurants, cinemas, and shopping centres that are easily accessible either by car or via the transit hub.
Living in residence makes it easy to pay for housing while attending Mount Royal – one payment per semester covers your accommodation and all utilities (Internet, cable, water, electricity, and heat), as well as regular maintenance. Installment plans are also available.
