Microsoft Office is the standard software used in most business environments.  Learn the basics or upgrade your skills to master more complex tasks in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

MS Office 2016 for PC's is used in all computer labs. Students are not required to bring their own computer to class.

MS Word, Level 1
Learn the basics including formatting,  fonts, margins, indents, tabs, line spacing, alignment, tables, find and replace, page numbering, and headers/footers.

MS Excel, Level 1

Discover the basics of an electronic spreadsheet and be introduced to the MS Excel environment. Learn correct terminology, mouse and keyboard movements, data entry and how to apply formatting using a variety of methods. Perform calculations by creating formulas and using simple functions.

MS Excel, Level 2

Explore a variety of Excel’s built-in specialized functions beyond Level 1.  Learn multiple ways of using a spreadsheet as a database (list) to organize, sort and filter data. Learn how to use database functions and learn how to create pivot tables, pivot charts, slicers, and timelines.

MS Excel, Level 3

Excel Level 3 covers the creation of chart templates and sharing workbooks. In addition, learn how to link workbooks, customize charts, save them as templates and use Sparklines. Discover analysis tools including goal seek, solver, scenarios, macros, lookup functions, and how to audit a worksheet.
