Bruce Foster received his BA and MA degrees in political science from Simon Fraser University, and his PhD from UBC. His teaching interests include Canadian politics, the Canadian constitution, judicial processes, federalism, parties and elections and political theory. His research interests are clustered around right-wing political thought and activism, the intersection of politics and faith, and populist parties and social movements. He has been a faculty member at Mount Royal since 1997 and department chair from 2005 to 2010. Though lacking compelling empirical evidence, Foster believes he is the only faculty member at Mount Royal University with a "Shrine to Elvis" in his office.
