Berhanu is an energy and environmental economist with interests in climate change, energy policy, and
renewable energy. He had his first degree in Energy Economics from University of Calgary,
and obtained a Master degree in Environmental Management from Royal Roads University.
He has previously participated as an advisor at Alberta’s climate change panel, and in the designing
process of province’s carbon tax policy.
He currently works as a lecturer and a lab instructor for economics courses at Mount Royal University.
Berhanu's current area of interests include system analysis, cybernetics, golfing, and hiking.
