Patricia has worked in most child and youth practice setting over her 30-year career. Her research interests include vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, intimate partner violence, depicting the suffering in the post-secondary classroom and post-secondary student wellness. She has developed and taught courses and was the editor for the Children’s Mental Health certificate. Has co-edited Child and Youth Mental Health in Canada: Cases from the Front-Line and Child and Youth Care Practice: Collected Wisdom for New Practitioners.
