Beginner Guitar - Levels I, II, III - For ages 15+

Join one of our fun and easy-going groups; learn to play basic chords to be able to play your favourite songs. Learn riffs from well-known songs and scales that are used in the solos of your favourite artists. Three levels of Guitar are offered depending on your previous experience with guitar and/or other instruments. If you have never played the guitar or any other instrument, Level I may be just right for you. If you have some previous experience and want to join a class at a quicker pace you may prefer Level II or III.

Instructor: Greg Rumpel

Guitar I
This class in intended for people who have never touched the guitar before and have no previous music background. The pace of the course will be slower than Level II and will cover less material and have more review.

Guitar II
This class is intended for people who have played guitar a bit already or are looking for some review after not having played for a while. The pace of the class will be quicker than the Level I group and more material will be covered.

Guitar III

This class will be appropriate for guitarists who have played for a while, are comfortable with most open position chords and want to improve their playing and learn new techniques.  We will learn songs with various strumming patterns, add some barre chords, review riffs and lead playing and introduce techniques such as slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs.  The repertoire will be tailored to the level of the class and participant interests.

This course is 16 weeks.
