The Conservatory and COVID-19

The provincial response to the COVID-19 pandemic is a complex and continually changing situation which has vastly impacted teaching and learning at Mount Royal University. Mount Royal has diverse groups of stakeholders. If you are a member of the Conservatory, the impacts of the provincial government restrictions and requirements may differ from those that apply to credit/degree programming.

Stay home when unwell
Please take care of your health and that of your family and friends. Those who test positive for COVID-19 or have a core symptom (fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat or runny nose) should stay home. Doing so contributes to creating the safest environment possible for colleagues, students and members of the Mount Royal community.

Masking requirements for learning and common spaces
In alignment with provincial government protocols, wearing a mask is no longer required in indoor spaces on the Mount Royal campus; however, MRU strongly recommends that you continue to wear a mask as an additional layer of protection and to contribute to campus safety. Please see Updates and Resources for more information.

Thank you for contributing to the safety of the Conservatory community over the course of the pandemic. Let’s continue to support and look out for one another as we move forward, together.
